All season-long premium subscribers will receive exclusive previews for the upcoming round of Bundesliga fixtures. Today, game week 27 kicks off! There is a massive test for Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run, a thrilling encounter in the race for the top 4, and many other enticing encounters to keep you entertained this weekend.

VfL Bochum v TSG Hoffenheim

In a crucial match for topflight survival, VfL Bochum pulled the shorter straw last Saturday with a 1:0 defeat to VfL Wolfsburg.

Conceding just one goal was a solid achievement for the league’s second-worst defense, but failing to score for only the second time in this calendar year saw Bochum undone. Though still level on points with Mainz, Bochum have now been overtaken by Die 05er on goal difference and have fallen into the relegation zone for the first time since the 9th matchday.

On the other hand, TSG Hoffenheim earned a crucial victory on Saturday to keep their hopes of European football alive. Hoffenheim’s defense was as turbulent as ever, but Die Kraichgauer’s attack managed to undo the 3 goals conceded by putting 4 past Borussia Mönchengladbach. Wout Weghorst had a big role to play in the victory, opening the scoring in the 36th minute, and assisting again half an hour later.

The Dutch international has not been a universal success since returning to the Bundesliga, but Weghorst is beginning to come into his own in recent weeks with 2 goals and 3 assists across his last 4 Bundesliga outings.

Prediction: TSG Hoffenheim Win

FC Bayern v Eintracht Frankfurt

FC Bayern have nothing left to play for in the Bundesliga, but Der Rekordmeister will be happy to have found some stability again in recent weeks after a turbulent run of form throughout February and March.
